Here are the recipes for the Tomato Basil Bruschetta & My fabulous Crap Dip


Please make sure these 2 dishes are made prior to the event. The Bruschetta can be made 2 days before and the crab dip takes 30 minutes to make.


Also below is the menu for the event. Happy Cooking!!!


Tomato Basil Bruschetta

1 lb cherry tomatoes-quartered (Drain excess juice)

1/4 tsp salt (to taste)

1/4 c chopped white onion

1/4 c chopped basil (chiffonade) We can discuss this knife cut

1 clove of minced garlic

1 baguette (french bread) ((slice 1/2in)

2-3 tbls EVO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil)

Balsamic Glaze to drizzle

Method of Preparation

Preheat oven to 450

Mix first 5 ingredients and set aside (Draining off excess juice)

Drizzle EVO over baquette slices and bake on 450 5-7 minutes

Refrigerate we will build together


Crab Dip

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1/3 c Sour Cream

1/4 c mayo

1 tsp old bay seasoning

1/2 garlic powder

1/2 seasoning salt

2 green onions (chopped)

8 oz lump crab meat

1 c cheddar cheese


Method of Preparation

Preheat Oven 375

Combine cream cheese,sour cream and mayo with all seasonings until fluffy (use a whisk or hand mixer)

Add green onions, cheese, and gently fold lump crab in. Don't break up too much

Pour in a greased baking dish

Top with remaining cheese and bake until piping hot 145 degrees

Use some of baguette for tasting or crackers.
