Happy Mother's Day Brunch...(Mother's Day Part !


Juicy, buttermilk fried chicken over a orange-cardamom waffle topped with crispy bacon and Maple Syrup! Yummy Yumm Yumm!


Buttermilk Fried Chicken & Orange Cardamom Waffle


Chicken Marinade

1 Pack of 8 Chicken Legs or Wings

1c Buttermilk

1/2 c Frank's Hot Sauce

2tbls Salt

1tbls Pepper

1 tbls Granulated Garlic

Chicken Flour

2c AP

1c Cornstarch

2 tbls Salt

1 tbls Pepper

1 tbls Cayenne Pepper

2 tbls Granulated Garlic

Orange Cardamom Waffle

Krusteaz Waffle Batter

1 tbls of Orange Zest

1 tsp Cardamom

Bacon Crumbles & Thyme for Garnish

Method of Preparation

Heat Oil to 335-350 degrees

Pull Chicken and drain for 20-30 min

Dust in Flour & Fry until thickest part of chicken reaches 165 degrees internally.

While chicken is cooking mix waffle batter as directions indicate. Add cardamom and orange zest, and cook about 2/3 cup batter until waffle is steaming or until golden brown.

Build your waffle.

Lay waffle on plate next layer your chicken and pour syrup over chicken and waffle and garnish with bacon crumbles and fresh thyme. Enjoy!
